Hi I’m Michelle,I began my career when I moved to London from Cardiff, thinking I wanted to be the next Barbara Streisand on the West End. Though this dream did not quite come true, I fell - very happily - into the hospitality industry, travelling all over the world opening, consulting and creating over 60 restaurants and bars internationally.Becoming a director of a consultancy company taught me you can join this leadership journey at any stage in your career - by applying the principles of self-leadership, influence, understanding the power of networking, of connecting with people, as well as learning the classic model of leadership. Unlocking people’s untapped potential inspired me to create my own business as a Leadership Expert, to share my values on grit, curiosity and getting the job done.I am passionate about helping and driving you as a leader and your company forward in two ways;Firstly, for my first love, the hospitality industry. We are united in our current problems, such as: the lack of staffing, attracting and retaining teams; the urgent day to day problems of dealing with uncertainty; managing the expectations of our employees and responding to the growing awareness of mental health issues within our industry.I understand at every level and department the pressures that hospitality leaders face. I’m here to teach you the principles, skills and models that can be simply integrated into your day to day business which can both pre-empt these issues and mitigate them.Secondly, I am determined to support women into leadership positions in all industries and help support their ongoing journey as a leader. Women are facing growing pressures like imposter syndrome, time constraints, not being seen or heard and living with systematic gender inequality. We need more female leaders we can look up to and aspire to be.I have been you, that young woman, looking at those around me who lead and thought ‘I can do this!’ Yes, I have made mistakes but I have had great mentors who shared their experiences and helped me develop. Now I want to offer you my knowledge, experience and expertise together with the tools to take your next step forward, as the world needs women in the top conversations.I’m dedicated to help you question & explore the potential for increased success in your work and life.
